How they work
Cisterns are either lever or push button operated. Cisterns operated by a push button are available in single (6ltr) or dual flush (3ltr/6ltr) depending on the range. The majority of cisterns are now internal overflow; this means in the event of a failure, the water will be contained within the unit.
How they're made
Pottery is made by a blend of clays, fillers and fluxes being fused together during the firing process. A white or coloured glaze is applied and is fused chemically and physically to the clay body during the same firing process. The finished product (vitreous china) has a very hard surface and is resistant to fading, staining, burning, scratching and acid attack. Due to the firing process and natural clays used, it is normal for the product to vary in size and shape, and +/- 5mm is normal. All pottery has a lifetime guarantee.
How to look after them
We recommend that pottery be cleaned with warm soapy water. A form of liquid soap may be used mixed with water to create a cleaning solution that will not stain the pottery.
Close Coupled WC
This toilet is the most popular option of conventional pan and cistern. The pan and cistern are connected together without any additional pipe work. It is available in a wide variety of styles.
Recommended requirements: Pan & cistern (including cistern fittings), toilet seat.

Back to Wall WC
This modern toilet is designed to be installed with a cistern base cabinet. All of the cistern fittings are concealed in the cistern base cabinet, giving the toilet a modern and fitted look.
Recommended requirements: Back to wall pan, back to wall cistern (including cistern fittings), cistern base cabinet, toilet seat.

Low Level WC
This style creates a more traditional look. The cistern is at a low level on the wall and is connected to the pan by a flush pipe. This toilet is operated by a traditional lever flush.
Recommended requirements: Low level pan, low level cistern (including cistern fittings), low level flush pipe decorative brackets, low level toilet seat.

High Level WC
This toilet gives a very traditional look with its classic design and period detail. The cistern is fitted at a high level on the wall and connected to the pan by a long flush pipe. The cistern is operated by a chain pull.
